THX 1138 is George Lucas's debut feature based off one of his short student films. He creates a stylized, futuristic, underground world in where drone workers are given drugs to regulate their mood. His vision of life in outer space is a sci-fi spectacle; eerily prophetic, depicting a world in which television screens are bombarded with sensationalistic news, sexually explicit films, and vapid comedy shows. AAA+++

L4D is Too Legit To Quit. This game is the closest thing to being in a zombie movie. Maximum Zombie Action! The zombies are similar to the movies "28 Days / Weeks Later" The Zs come hard and fast, blast through them to get you team to the safe room. I never thought a zombie game would come out that was better than Resident Evil, but L4d Dunks on the new and complication rpg kid Resident Evil.

Max Renn runs an unauthorized cable channel in Toronto that caters to viewers demanding increasingly violent and pornographic material. One night, in search of new programming fodder, he stumbles across a scrambled satellite transmission emanating from unknown regions -- a startlingly graphic broadcast that routinely depicts the brutal torture and murder of women. Excited by his find, Renn attempts to track the show to its origins, but he continually encounters resistance, including a warning from one of his programming suppliers that the broadcasts are not dramatizations but depictions of actual murders. Undaunted, Renn finally traces the show to Pittsburgh, where he encounters the transmissions of a Messianic madman known as Brian O'Blivion. Although O'Blivion is dead, his daughter continues to spread his twisted gospel by broadcasting old videotapes of his sermons, encouraging people to embrace the barbarous new TV world as reality. Eventually Renn finds the man who is controlling all the hallucinatory video violence. But by then, Max has begun his own descent into madness, an insanity culminating in physical manifestations of the exploitative sleaze he has profited from over the years.

93 was a good year for borderline softcore porn. Chained Heat 2 takes place deep inside the concrete jungle of an infamous communist block prison. An innocent woman struggles to stay alive amid sadistic heroin-smuggling guards and a psychotic stiletto-heeled warden. Voluptuous Brigitte Nielsen in her prime stars as the masterful mistress of a women's prison where the most contemptible crimes are committed after they put you away for life. A+
