THX 1138

THX 1138 is George Lucas's debut feature based off one of his short student films. He creates a stylized, futuristic, underground world in where drone workers are given drugs to regulate their mood. His vision of life in outer space is a sci-fi spectacle; eerily prophetic, depicting a world in which television screens are bombarded with sensationalistic news, sexually explicit films, and vapid comedy shows.
